Apple Buddy for Life: Jay Connell
Jay needs us!
A native of Seaford, Delaware, there's no doubt that The Seaford Blue Jays' Class of '97 remembers Jay! Jay was also a fixture with Preston Automotive. If you've spent any time in Delmarva, chances are you've met Jay! Now, a resident of Florida, Jay's ties still run deep in Sussex County. He even flew back to attend the Apple Buddies for Life Bonanza in 2024. Little did any of us know what the future would hold.
In May of 2025, Apple Buddies for Life was devastated to learn that Jay was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. We are being called to Action. The distance makes this campaign a bit more challenging, but we will push with all our might to give Jay the support he needs, and relieve at least some of the financial burdens for him and his family.
We know our Community will join us in our efforts.
Let's start with lifting Jay and his family in prayer.

AB4L - Our Story
Founded in 2024, Apple Buddies for Life became the organized Title for our Group. A close Friend of ours had been diagnosed with an aggressive Lung Cancer, and we, collectively, called ourselves to action. Although, we ultimately lost our Dear Friend in Aug 2024, we were able to show her the Power of Community. She was able to see, and feel, the outpouring of Love while she was still with us. And, the funds we raised went towards final expenses.
Apple Buddies for Life now has a mission. In memory of our Dear Friend, we have chosen to continue our fundraising efforts to help others of our Apple Buddies for Life. We will move to Action, when called.
We will bring hope through Prayer.
We will support through our fundraising.
We will bridge Communities.
We will share Love. We are...Apple Buddies for Life!
